I have derm appt - but in mean time I have red bumpy ITCHY rash on part of lower right leg. It's now started on left. What could this be?!
Could be minor...: Dermatology is all about appearance. I am guessing it is an erythematous papule ("red bumpy"), which honestly could be an insect bite, or contact dermatitis, both of which are common. However you mention pregnancy; there is a condition called PUPPP: Pruritic urticarial papules and plaques of pregnancy, which are terribly itchy red bumps! See what the dermatologist thinks! ...Read more

What causes an itchy rash with little bumps on top of my feet and redness on lower legs? Also bumps are not itching anymore, now they are dry bumps.
Allergic reaction: Usually rashes on the top of your feet are casued by some type of allergic reaction or contact dermatits. With your lower legs involved I would rule out edema/swelling as an issue as well. Your socks or shoes could be creating the rash on your feet more so if they got wet while wearing them or if you have changed soaps or detergents. If the rash persists or returns get examined by a doctor. ...Read more
Brown itchy rash on lower abdomen, lower back and tops of legs starts off pinkish becomes extremely itchy then turns brown?
Rash: A rash is best diagnosed and treated when it is visualized by a doctor, who can then make an appropriate recommendation. If the itch is driving you crazy, try topical Hydrocortisone cream, an oral antihistamine to calm down itch, and cool showers or baths until you can see the doctor as soon as possible. ...Read more

Use steroid cream:
It seems you have an acute case of contact dermatitis and may need to see your doctor asap as it is spreading
meanwhile take over the counter Benadryl (diphenhydramine) to control the itching and use 1%hydrocortisone cream locally till you see your doctor
you may need stronger steroid cream and/or oral or injecteble steroids. ...Read more

PUPPP: Pruritic urticarial papules and plaques of pregnancy. Can hydrocortizone 1% cream be applied for fading of non-itchy rash on leg which is pityriasis rosea herald patch, on skin for almost 2 months, ?
Doubtful: Hydrocortisone is helpful for itchy or inflamed rashes. We believe that pityriasis is caused by a virus and not inflammatory. I would expect a herald patch to be accompanied by others by now. You should consider that this might be another cause such as eczema or lupus. I would recommend an examination. ...Read more
A red itchy rash on the inner side of my leg near the groin area for over 1 month. It decreases when I take anti biotics. I want a permanent solution?
Erythrasma: I assume you used actual antibiotics and not antifungals. You could have Erythrasma which is a bacterial infection that just like fungus affects areas of moist skin. The rash may have well defined borders and may become brownish. Topical and sometimes oral antibiotics are necessary. Keeping the area dry is the way to prevent this. Check that you are in good health for example no diabetes ...Read more

Need a picture: Rashes are tough to diagnose with just limited description. Often even with pictures and biopsies rashes can go undiagnosed. I got bit by a horsefly that got infected, and I got given a penicillin type drug to help it however I've now got a itchy rash on leg. Is it linked?
You need to be: Seen by healthcare provider again to look at the pattern of the rash and skin infection to make sure it is improving on the penicillin type drug. Otherwise, you may need cultures and repeat blood work, or different antibiotic. There are lots of different things that cause rash, but if it was a fly and not a tick, then you should not get Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever or Lyme disease, to rule out. ...Read more
I have a bright red (and itchy!) rash on the back of both my legs, between my butt and knee. It looks like small bug bite like bumps. Not spreading.?
Many causes: Rashes are challenging even when the doctor can see them, so even harder in this forum. Small red bumps on both legs make me think of reactions to clothes, or something in contact with that area on both sides. Bites can do it. It could be heat rash, a reaction of the skin to warmth and occlusion from pressure. Some drug reactions can do that as can conditions like eczema and psoriasis. ...Read more
