1 year old had MMR Vaccine 11 days ago, little dot rash over body and a large pea sized lump at nape of neck hairline can't see doctor for a week?

Common finding: This is a common finding in many kids who receive the MMR. The lump is a reactive lymph node and will reduce in size within 2-3 wks.You might call the office to have the experience recorded in the chart, but I wouldn't worry about going in. ...Read more

I have an itchy rash on my face and neck. I haven't ate or used any new products. And there are no other symptoms. What could this be?

Doctor visit: Unfortunately the next step is not via computer, but to have a doctor actually view your skin. By seeing the lesions and pressing upon the skin the doctor (like myself in the emergency department) can get the context of the rash. Your description is good, so remember to tell the doctor about your symptoms just as you have written. Good luck to you ... Feel better ... ...Read more

I have an intensely itchy rash to one side of my face that is spreading quickly to my jawline and neck. It's happened before but i can't figure it out

Hives?: If the rash is spreading rapdily within hours, it is possibly hives, see an allergist, especially if it happened before. If the rash is spreading over days, it could be a contact allergy and I have seen such rashes as a reaction to plastic cellphone cases, if you hold the phone against your cheek. An allergist can help you figure it out. ...Read more
