I have a MRSA infection that consists of itchy pimples on my arms, back, and belly. I am taking bactrim (sulfamethoxazole and trimethoprim) for 10 days. After 5, little improvement.

Not sun poisoning: Do not take Benadryl (diphenhydramine) unless you want a sleeping pill. It is dangerous to use if driving. It will do nothing for this type of condition. I have a pimple like rash only on the outter part of my arms it not itchy but it is really bothersome. What is it? I have had it for about a month now
Rash: It's very difficult to diagnose skin rashes without a picture, but it could be patches of eczema (which don't always have to itch). If it's symmetric on the upper arms, we think of things like keratosis pilaris, which doesn't itch, but can be cosmetically bothersome. Rash: Although it's difficult to know, exactly without seeing it; this sounds like pilaris keratosis. This rash is usually located on the back of arms, and tops of thighs. Occasionally on the cheeks. If you were exposed to something new, it could be a contact dermatitis; if you are ill with a fever, it could be a virus; ill with sore throat, it could be strep.
