This is in all: Liklihood hand dermatitis or eczema. People can be genetically susceptible, or be in frequent contact with an irritant, or have allergies. Irritants include water, detergents, solvents, cold, heat, friction. Dermatologist can pinpoint cause. Then minimize contact with irritants, use non-soap cleanser, minimize water/dry well, use moisturizers, possibly cotton gloves and topical steroids. Good luck

I had surgery on my foot a week ago. Today I woke up with a painful, itchy rash that started on palms but has spread all over. What could it be?
Ck your post op meds: If you have palmer rash from post-op, and were placed on antibiotics, or other meds, you must consider if this could be a possibility or not. In either case, contact your foot doctor, or surgeon, and let her/him know about it, so they can advise you further. This is best done in person. You don't want this getting out of hand, and compromising your health.See 1 more doctor answer
Infection autoimmmue: Either an infection, mainly viral, or if there is no sign of an infection then an immunologic process could be occurring, such as an allergic reaction, or an autoimmune process. If this persists or recurs then it needs to be evaluated by a board certified allergist.

Multiple causes: The most common rash in her age group on the palms and soles is eczema but other possibilities include fungal infections and variations of psoriasis or a few rare conditions. Use only unscented soaps for handwashing and see a physician to see if a topical steroid cream is needed to treat the rash.
I got rashes both on my legs n hands. Both side. It was first started on my hand and I scratched and now passed on to other part of my body. Its itchy?
Itchy rashes: One common rash that starts on the hands and spreads to the rest of the body is called scabies. It is caused by mites and is passed by contact. A dermatologist could do a scraping to determine this and treat it. There are many other causes such as allergy to things you come in contact with or eczema, but if someone else you know has similar symptoms, you should both be checked for scabies.

Its possible.: There are many types and causes of skin rashes. Several types of inflammatory conditions of the skin, allergic reactions, and sometimes bacterial, viral or fungal infections can cause rashes on the skin. Insect bites can also be the cause of a rash on the skin. Have it evaluated by a professional and get the appropriate treatment.
