Itchy Painful Left Shoulder
I have been experiencing an itchy and sore left shoulder. It's not super painful, but more annoying. Just curious what could be causing these symptom?
Sore Shoulder: A common cause of shoulder pain is soreness of the tendon (a cord that attaches a muscle to a bone) of the rotator cuff (the part of the shoulder that helps circular motion). Another common cause is soreness of the subacromial bursa (a sac of fluid under the highest part of the shoulder).

Who knows?: I am not aware that any type of insect or flying species that sting have a peculiar shape to their sting. The more important point is how do you feel and what does the wound look like? Is it small and red or has it enlarged and infected? If it has enlarged and begin to widen see your doc for the best treatment.See 1 more doctor answer
I have an area below my shoulder blade on my left side that feels numb but is very itchy at times. There is no pain just a very odd sensation.?
Medial branch: This could be a problem with the "medial branch" nerve that comes off the main nerve root as it exits the spine and innervates the spinal joint and overlying skin just to one side of your vertebral column. The opening could be narrow for the nerve, or this could be subclinical zoster without rash (shingles) activity that will settle down (shingles most commonly flares on the chest wall).
Recurrent shingles: According to the 2008 edition of "harrison's principles of internal medicine, " recurrent shingles results from deficits in cell-mediated immunity, the same problem that people with aids have, and, sometimes, inability to make sufficient antibodies. The two processes are usually linked because antibody production depends on communication between t-cells and b-cells of the immune system. See doc.

See your doctor: Red bumps on your pubic area need to be seen by a physician because they usually need treatment. Red itchy rashes are also important to treat. They can range from infections which are also contagious such as strep or herpes to skin conditions such as allergies and eczema. ? shingles?: Very regional neuropathy, especially following a dermatome, may occur following herpes infection. This may cause very regional red spots or even blisters as well as dysesthesia with burning, itching, and intense pain. These may flare up now and then, but leave you with persistent discomfort. It is somewhat more common in the elderly, especially those with a history of bad chickenpox as a child.
Itchy bumps on my thigh, what could they be? Some turned into black bruises. Started about a week ago on my left thigh, now on my right and shoulder too.
Dermatitis: Sounds like you have a dermatitis (not otherwise specified) and an exam would define it more specifically. Most dermatitis like, itchy skin eruptions can be treated with a topical steroid and Benadryl (diphenhydramine) as an antihistamine (which can also help with the itch). If severe, then get derm eval. Best wishes.
5 yr old healthy girl has one jelly bean size slightly raised, scaly sometimes itchy and tender skin lesion I guess on her left up chest near shoulder?
Get the diagnosis: There are many types and causes of skin rashes. Several types of inflammatory conditions of the skin, allergic reactions, and sometimes bacterial, viral or fungal infections can cause rashes on the skin. Insect bites can also be the cause of a rash on the skin. Have it evaluated by a professional and get the appropriate treatment.See 1 more doctor answer
Acne on my shoulder back, and using all sorts of cream but is not helping. It's not itchy but disturbing.
See a dermatologist.: I would recommend you see a dermatologist. They would be the best source of proper diagnosis and treatment and are up on the latest treatments. At 52, acne does occur but you also want to make sure, if it's new, that there's not an underlying condition causing it.
Skin infection: Get examined and treated. Cannot be diagnosed online.See 1 more doctor answer
Is it advised to remove a 1in keloid on my shoulder that has doubled size in the past 3yrs, and there's a new one growing beside (sun sensitive/itchy)?
Try kenalog (triamcinolone) first: If you have not done so already, most would recommend least invasive to most invasive therapy first beginning with pressure and silastic gel sheeting, progressing to kenalog (triamcinolone) injections with possible off label use of 5fu then to intalesional excision with possible post op radiation therapy. Lasers have mixed results.See 2 more doctor answers
I feel like I got an itch under my skin top right shoulder, like when I move it or walk it feels itchy under it, workout injury? Something else?
Possible nerve: If it is an isolated itch with no associated rash it may be related to a nerve irritation. A peripheral nerve which normally performs a sensory function to a specific area of the skin can sometimes malfunction and create an area of intense itching in that area. It is benign but annoying and usually resistant to antihistamines. Other compounded topicals or pressure with taping may help.
