I have a pea sized, smooth, purple/pink lump on my upper arm that has been there for a while. No pain or itchiness. What is it and how to i remove it?
See a derm: If it has been there for a long time and it has not undergone any changes and it's not painful then in all probability it is a non-worrisome lesion . Hives: What you describe sounds like hives, a nonspecific reaction of the skin that commonly occurs during an allergic response to some trigger. Lumps: These may be scattered hives caused by an allergy of some sort. Insect bites are possibilities although these lesions are usually smaller. Try to think of any precipitating factors like certain foods, medications,etc. Antihistamines like benadryl(causes drowsiness) or claritin(nondrowsy) give relief.
