Could be many things: The rash could be a simple reaction to a dryer sheet or laundry detergent or it might be a strep rash. If the kid has fever its time for a visit. If not, you might think of something that came in direct contact to those surfaces that would trigger the rash. ...Read more

Can,t make diagnosis: It is not possible to diagnose the type of lump from description or size of lump. Best to get checked and if needed get excisional biopsy. That way you will know for sure . Rash on hips: Eczema is commonly seen on hips particularly in cold weather. Eczema is red/pink and scaly and can be very itchy. If eczema is mild, moisturizers like petroleum jelly or a fragrance-free dye-free cream 2-3 times a day may help.
