Herpes?: The first issue that was should be considered is herpes. Unless these are pustules and there is redness in the area suggesting cellulitis then this would be the most likely dx. You should show your doctor to get a confirmatory dx. Consider yourself contagious and do not have sex in the interim.

You are: Describing "classical" FOLLICULITIS....

Use an antibacterial soap...followed by an OTC antibiotic cream (eg"NEOSPORIN) and if not "better" get the area checked out medically...doesn't sound like an STD but if not better...get it evaluated
