Itchy Burning Nipples
What causes burning itchy nipples? I've got what seems to be some kind of painful rash on my nipples. Its quite uncomfortable. And pretty constant... Could antibiotics cause this and if so whatelse may cause it? What can I do to stop the burning to sooth
Did this develop soon after you started taking antibiotics? If so then there is a possibility it is an allergic reaction. On the other hand it could be a bacterial infection as well or a dermatitis. It is very difficult to say without seeing the lesion in question. In the meantime lanolin cream or a&d ointment can be used to soothe the nipples and Benadryl (diphenhydramine) can help with the itching.
Please seek care.

My girlfriends nipples are burning and itchy, but her boobs aren't growing. It's been a week since her period ended. Is she pregnant?
Maybe not, but...: A urine pregnancy test, done correctly, gives a reliable result 3 weeks after sex (3 weeks after when conception might have occurred), or 1 week after missing a period. If done sooner, a positive result is likely real, but a negative result may be due to testing too soon, and thus lead to a repeat test. If she gets her next NORMAL regular period, then she is not pregnant, and a test is not needed. ...Read more

Doctor can evaluate: A doctor will have to get more of the story about the nipples, and do an exam (one can start with his primary care doctor). Nipple rashes can be from friction (from shirts, sports equipment like swimming in an inner tube, etc...), eczema, cancer, etc... Nipple discharges can be from hormonal imbalances, which may be due to hormone-producing glands, liver disease, medications, etc... ...Read more
