Sounds like hives: Urticaria, hives, are caused by exposure to something the body responds to in an allergic response. Pink raised areas that blanch when pressed, itchy is a typical hive. Dermatitis: Sounds like you have a dermatitis (not otherwise specified) and an exam would define it more specifically.
