A photo would help: The key to dermatology is the appearance. The 'story' behind it helps lead one in the right direction. Finally, if all of that doesn't make the diagnosis a biopsy is necessary, where a doctor (pathologist) can look under a microscope and tell you what it is. You might want to send an image to a Health Tap doc-there's a new feature about tough to solve cases, maybe you would be a candidate for that

Hi I have this small itchy bumps with white top on my left cheeks scattering all over my face 2 days now.

More details: Since only the left cheek is affected (or is the whole face involved?), I suspect that this may be from a sensitivity to sunlight. Have you recently introduced a new facial cosmetic which may lead to a photosensitive skin reaction after sun exposure? If both cheeks are involved, one needs to consider rosacea. You may well need to consult a dermatologist.

I have itchy bumps on my face every once a while. Just a bump or two. What could it be.

Itchy Bumps: A visit to the dermatologist is required to ascertain the nature of these spots of patches of inflamed skin. If skin disorders such as acne, eczema, rosacea or skin allergies are affecting the texture of the skin, the dermatologist might prescribe certain medications to tackle this problem. Topical steroids, creams, lotions, antibiotics or antihistamines might be needed to treat this condition.

See your doctor: Rashes are notoriously difficult to diagnose online. You should see your family practice physician and have them look at it to determine the type of rash as well as the best treatment.

I have small semi itchy bumps developing on my face! Need urgent help! I am a 20 year old male.?

I have small semi itchy bumps developing on my face! Need urgent help! I am a 20 year old male.?

This is difficult: To diagnose here without seeing the rash. Did you have any new exposures to foods, soaps, shampoos, medications? Are you sick with a fever or other symptoms? A cortisone cream might help, but it would be best to see your doctor or a dermatologist to be properly diagnosed and treated. Hope it's better soon. If you are a Prime member on HealthTap, you could also request a consult.

Itchy bumps won't go away on my face, if I scratch my skin raises and gets so dry and a dark red color. What is it?

Many answers: Your rash needs to be examined by a doctor who may refer you to a dermatologist. If you blush easily, these bumps may be from rosacea.

I have red itchy bumps I first noticed on my face but now they have spread quickly all over and are mildly itchy not sure what to do?

Itchy red bumps: Rashes that are red, itchy, raised and spread can be hives (urticaria) although it is easier to view them directly. It can be helpful to take a photo (to document), not all the circumstances surrounding onset of rash (diet, exercise, medications, stings/bites, fever, other symptoms, etc) to try to pinpoint trigger. Antihistamines like zyrtec (cetirizine) help with itching. See doc if continue or worsen...

Hi there, my face, thighs, chest feel very itchy. When I scratch pink itchy bumps appear. They seem to be spreading all over my body also. What can it be?

Dermatographism: This is a heightened sensitivity of your skin and an allergic type reaction to something internal or external. Stimuli could be foods, medications, temperature, etc. Often the inciting cause is unknown. If you cannot get relief with antihistamines like benadryl (causes drowsiness) or claritin (nondrowsy), consult an allergist who may prescribe atarax (hydroxyzine) as well as attempt to determine the cause

Depends on the cause: There are many types and causes of skin rashes. Several types of inflammatory conditions of the skin, allergic reactions, and sometimes bacterial, viral or fungal infections can cause rashes on the skin. Insect bites can also be the cause of a rash on the skin. Have it evaluated by a professional and get the appropriate treatment.

Waxing: Can cause physical irritation to the delicate skin on your face and lead to what you got, but calm down, wash your face with cream soap and moisturize your face well, OTC hydrocortisone cream 1%, on affected areas, avoid near eye/eyelids, for a day or so together with OTC antihistamine, avoid driving if it makes you drowsy, if it doesn't improve in a day or so, see your doctor, be careful waxing,
