Itchy Blisters At Base Of Spine Tailbone
Red itchy area showed up on lower back out of no where Wed. Thurs it grew larger & bumpy; Fri. Tons of tiny blisters formed. Super itchy & sensitive?
Shingles: The best way to diagnosis a rash is to actually see the rash and/or feel it, so it is difficult to provide information based on this question. The rash of shingles usually starts as a red itchy (often painful) area, and then develops blisters. Shingles rash usually occurs on only one side of the body, and stops abruptly at the spine when it is on the back. ...Read more

Contact dermatitis?: Do you have poison ivy in your area? Did you come in contact with plastic, metal, or chemicals in that area of your leg? It sounds like your skin may be reacting to something it came in contact with. If it is painful, or has a cloudy pus-like discharge, or you have fever, get seen to rule out infections. Otherwise, wash it well and try hydrocortisone cream 2x/day. ...Read more

Had impetigo and used mupirocin2% three weeks ago. Left with redness and lower lip is itchy but no signs of blisters. Is it back?
Maybe not: If the redness is a little less (improving) each day, it may be "post-inflammatory" redness that gradually goes away after the impetigo heals. If crusting or oozing returns, then the doctor can look to see if the infection has returned. Many people get blisters on a lip that are cold sores, instead of impetigo. Cold sores are caused by viruses (mupirocin doesn't work on those viruses). ...Read more

Could be shingles: Chicken pox and shingles are due to the same virus (the zoster virus). If a person had chicken pox in the past (even if she doesn't remember having it), she can get shingles, which is a painful rash in a localized area of the body. Patients with shingles should see a doctor right away to get started on medication, and to confirm the diagnosis. Some people may qualify for the shingles vaccine. ...Read more

I have some red itchy blisters on my head, hand, palm, body front and back. I had 100 f temperature once but after that no fever. What is it?
Cannot diagnose: Without seeing this don't know the cause, but there are only a few infectious diseases which produce true blisters. Chickenpox is unusual in adults but can occur, as can syphilis (get tested if at risk). More often this may be an allergic reaction or direct toxicity (like poison ivy, etc.) contact dermatitis. The lesions on your palms are disturbing. Do see a doctor. ...Read more

Have a rash on my chest small patch three patches on back. Slightly itchy and sore. Red very small blisters. Also suspect I have a yeast infection.
Possibly shingles: If the patches are in a line-like pattern (as opposed to a random pattern), it is likely you have shingles (reactivation of chicken pox virus), and you need a prescription for an antiviral medication if the rash began within the past 3 days. Sometimes a steroid such as Hydrocortisone or Prednisone is also prescribed. The yeast infection can be treated with an antifungal medication. See your pcp. ...Read more
