Hard to say: Candida and pinworms both can cause itchy anus(Pruitis Ani), but there are a number of other infections and dermatologic conditions that may be responsible. I have a small pink-red dry patch of skin that is not itchy or painful on my lower buttock, is it a rash? What could be the cause?
It depends.: You might have been born with it. This happens sometimes, and is usually called a port wine stain, or simply a discoloration of the skin due to lack of pigment. It also might be a lesion/cut/bite that healed long ago and stayed red. If you have others, it could be a skin condition from some disease. It would be wise to see your doctor to be sure, or just be aware of it if you are ok otherwise. ...Read more
I have red itchy rash on my right buttock. I sit all day and is that a cause. Iam a receptionist. It comes and goes. does not itch all the time.
Rash: Rashes are impossible to diagnose over the computer. Usually sitting is not a risk factor for developing a rash, unless you are very old (It states you are 106?), and you get skin "breakdown" from not moving around (similar to a "bed sore"). When the rash is visible, have a dr. look at it to give you a diagnosis and any necessary treatment. Best wishes. ...Read more

I am worried that I may have a skin disease and or condition causing multiple bumps itchy on my buttock etc causing scars . please help me.
GetToThRootOfProblem: I see a lot of that and it's usually a form of scattered folliculitis (inflammation of hair roots) that can be helped within a few weeks with once or twice daily shower with an ant-bacterial soap and a good scrub. It's not magic, however, and if the bumps don't go away then you'll need to see a dermatologist for an in-depth exam and maybe tests or a trial of a topical or oral medication...or both. ...Read more

Recurrent skin bump: Any thing in your blood would be more generalized and occur over a larger surface. This recurrent bump may be an inclusion cyst or ingrown hair or blocked pore. If it is tender, or fluctuant it may need to be drained or surgically removed. I recommend seeing a dermatologist when the bump is present. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

My niece has a coin shaped rash on her right buttock that is scaly in the middle, but it's not itchy. Could this be a ringworm?
Possible: Generally, I think of ringworm when a lesion has clear center and raised edges. Could be a dry patch of skin called nummular (coin) eczema - this is usually flatter at edges and scales in middle. When in doubt best to have MD look to be sure. Consider using Lotrimen until appt if no sensitive skin problems. If ringworm, it will help. If eczema, the base lotion in cream may help. http://www.medicinenet.com/ringworm/article.htm ...Read more
