Itchy anus for a few months and is painful when I go to the toilet. Can see 2 white tags half a cm from anus. Perineum is also swollen.
Anal Fissure: What you described suggest anal fissure. It would help to keep your stool soft to give the tears time to heal. Use a fiber laxative like Metamucil and drink enough water so that your urine is colorless. If it does not get better in three months after having consistently soft stools it would be time to see a doctor. For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, low fat milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Sure: Most causes of anal itching especially if it is severe enough to wake you from your sleep are due to caffeine and excess moisture. Pruritis Ani: Gluten sensitivity is not a common cause of itching. If the ingestion of glutnen leads to significant loose stool, it can compound itching. Pa is caused primarily from ph changes created by certain foods and trauma from excessive wiping. One simple way to test is to eliminate or minimize gluten but i typically recommend stool bulking with fiber to decrease ph and local care to limit trauma. ...Read more
I have been experiencing an itchy anus. I was instructed by a doc to use some sort of vaginal creme, and it helped, but I forget what it was.
Prob a fungal cream: They probably recommended an anti-fungal cream like clotrimazole. If it is a fungal rash then any over the counter anti-fungal cream will work.
