Dry skin?: Dryness can cause itching without rash especially in the winter. Avoid really hot showers and use a good moisturizer.
Past three days been extremely itchy all over body, primarily arms and legs. No rashes, etc. No new changes at all. No allergies. What can be cause?
May be hard to find: About 50 % of cases of itching without rash, one is not able to figure out the cause. Of course, the common allergens are something inhaled that the histamines in the body react to; or some new perfume or scented lotion, deodorant or something else new used on skin. Suggest taking an otc antihistamine daily, take only lukewarm showers. Will likely go away in 2-3 weeks. If not, the usual: c the doc.See 1 more doctor answer
I've recently started getting really itchy all over my body but the worse spot is my stomach, back and my thighs. There are no noticable bumps or rashes but when I do end up itching them I get some pretty extreme welts. What could possibly be causing this
Dermatographism: Your condition sounds like dermatographism. This is a type of urticaria (hives). It normally resolves in a few months, but some patients may persists with symptoms for years. Treatment with anti-histamines like zyrtec or Allegra (fexofenadine) are usually very effective. Be sure to consult with your dermatologist to confirm your diagnosis and evaluate you for possible triggers.See 1 more doctor answer

Itching without rash: May be simply dry skin, especially in winter months and may respond to lotions, but may be a sign of internal disease or nerve disorder, including liver, kidney, thryroid, iron deficiency, diabetes, shingles or MS or blood disorder, pregnancy hormones. If itching interferes with sleep and is associated with weight loss, fatigue and persists more than a few days, be sure to see your doctor.
Why is my skin itchy all over all the time? It started thanksgiving I have no rash its not bugs im thinking maybe allergy?
I: I agree. I recommend my patients use a hydrating cleanser like cetaphil or cerave and then apply a moisturizer cream daily. If that doesn't help, consider a trip to a dermatologist for further evaluation and treatment options. On the link below, I list some of the other possible causes of dry, itchy skin. I hope that helps.See 1 more doctor answer
I'm taking percocet for some post op pain. It's making me very itchy all over. How can I relieve the itch? I have no rash and the itch moves all over.
Stop taking the drug: Stop the medications immediately. If you are having severe breathing problems, shortness of breath or feel very faint, call 911. Call your doctor who prescribed the medication and ask for another type of pain medication. Consider taking benadryl (diphenhydramine).See 1 more doctor answer

3yr old is itchy all over but no rash what could this be? I read itchy skin could be leukemia is this true? : (
Yes and no: Certain blood cell disorders may be associated with itchy but the incidence is quite low. There are many causes for a 3-yo child to get itchy and dry skin is one of them. Consider applying a moisturizer on the skin immediately after bathing to see if this helps May also try an antihistamine. If these measures fail. See your doctor.
I'm itchy all over. Not much to see othr than the odd hive & a rash that flares up in the inside of the elbow. Don't know if its an allergy to food??
Eczema: The involvement at the crease of the elbows (& knees) points to eczema which is an allergic condition. Aside from food allergens, airborne allergens can trigger the problem as well. If this is the case, regular use of moisturizer immediately after bathing is a must. Topical cortisone is often needed. See allergist if problem persists or worsens.

Be sure the lab work included a cbc, chem 14, and TSH (thyroid screen). Change detergent to all-free and avoid fragranced fabric softeners and bath soaps. See a dermatologist if all else fails.

Itching: You may be having allergies, but may be not. Allergies usually present with some skin lesions, even hives still present with a short lived break out. Anyway, the easiest to try would be Benadryl (diphenhydramine) over-the-counter, 12.5 to 25 mg at a time, 3-4 times/day. If that doesn't help, you will need to see a doc.See 1 more doctor answer
