This area can often become irritated / chapped from excess upper lid skin or excessive tearing. Too dry in room?: Is there alot of heat in your toom that is drying the air out. If so, you want to get a humidifier. If you do not itch during the day, it is probably not allergies. You could also put sterile eyedrops in your eye before bed and see if that helps. ...Read more

Trial and error.: There are a number of meds out there for seasonal allergies. There's otc allegra, zyrtek and Claritin (and their generics). These are non-sedating antihistamines. They're good, but not as good as Benadryl - which is sedating. Eye drops like naphcon help for itchy eyes, and intranasal steroids like Nasonex are for runny nose. If this isn't sufficient then next i'd usually suggest an allergy eye drop (anti-histamine). Avoid long-term decongestant drop usage.
