Neck and head pain: From what you are describing it sounds like you are having muscle spasms in the muscle in the neck up into the back of your head. Not shingles: Singles is not the cause if you don't have an obvious painful rash in the same area. Nerve symptoms from past shingles (post-herpetic neuropathy might do this, but by itself this isn't shingles. Not sure: If you have not used the sunscreen multiple times in the past you may be allergic to it. On the other hand you may also be allergic to the sun and the sunscreen is not preventing this reaction. I would see a dermatologist who does photo testing to see what the problem is.
