Can you recover fully from depression from taking meds? I feel all around better but still feel like happiness is only temporary.

Many oldie-but-goodie anti-depressants are available as generics ; relatively cheap. All can have side effects but hopefully some won't make you feel like a zombie; but antidepressants do tend to dull one's emotions.
Natural alternatives like 5-htp, same, st. John's wort ; curcumin are proven to work as well as drugs ; are far less likely to have side effects or zombify you.
