Isomil 2 Medication
How will primarily having your 19 month old on Isomil no 3 formula and every 2nd weekend on normal milk affect your child?
Hard to predict: If the kid has no food allergies these are equally effective in providing water value & nutrients to toddlers. I don't see any particular value in one over the other. Why a kid is still on a formula after a year of age is not clear. I consider such usage just the success of formula makers advertising. ...Read more

Probably not: This disease is because of a defect in metabolism of leucine, isoleucine and valine, all present in protein. I believe that mead johnosn may be making a diet for this disease but it is a long time since I had the care of a msud patient----- a very difficult disease to treat and only diet can prevent the mental retardation that is otherwise inevitable. ...Read more
My daughter (13 months) intolerant to cow milk, using Isomil, now also discovered she is intolerant to Isomil (I did elimination test) what do now? She gets terrible cramps now if she drinks the soya, it started a 4 weeks ago. Are there an option.
It happens: Between 30-50% of those allergic to cow milk are also allergic to soy. At 13 months you need to decide whether to get off milks, and just make sure she has a calcium source like goat cheese, or calcium carbonate wafers (Tums). You could use what is called an elemental formula like ALUMENTUM but it is expensive and unnecessary at that age. ...Read more

My baby just turned 1. Which is better 4 her, stick to baby formula or switch her 2 cow's milk? Which one is healthier? Thank you ☺
Depends: By the time a kid turns one, most have incorporated a variety of semisolid foods. These can easily make up for some of the special features of breast milk or formula. Regular milk, rather than low fat/skim is needed because baby uses the added fat to support brain growth which slows after 2. The extra in formula if not used end up in her pee. ...Read more

Quickly: If a baby has a true allergy to its formula symptoms are going to occur with every feed. My son is 6 kg. He born 4 months ago. He eats baby formula. What is the quantity of the baby formula per day? He eats 6 times per day. Thank you!
I assume: You mean by "dirty diaper" diapers containing stool. 7 or 8 stools per day may not be unusual, but if it is a big change from previously, you should take your baby to her pediatrician. If she is making fewer urine soaked diapers, it could mean she's dehydrated and needs prompt evaluation. ...Read more
Not necessary: This practice is unnecessary. Some infants prefer it warm or cold or room temperature. You can train baby to take it in any fashion. It was common practice in the past, believing baby might loose energy warming up the feed, but the energy loss in not significant. In the microwave era, many babies actually suffer significant mouth burns when the feed is too hot. ...Read more
Depends: The powdered formula is designed to mix with any approved source of regular tap water. You do not have to buy "baby water" sold in stores. If you are comfortable about the safety of your home tap water it is fine for formula use. Ready to feed formulas should not be diluted with water. If your area or house has rusty pipes and questionable water, use bottled water instead. ...Read more
Not necessary: Formula is just a manmade liquid diet for infants and meant to be a complete food. It doesn't taste particularly good, but it is complete nutrition for an infant. For a small infant, it will be the only food s/he is taking. For an older infant, closer to 12 months and eating food, formula may not be necessary. ...Read more
