How plausible is it for HPV to be spread through non-sexual or proxy contact (one not washing hands properly someone touching door handle after them)?

How plausible is it for HPV to be spread through non-sexual or proxy contact (one not washing hands properly someone touching door handle after them)?

Not impossible but..: By far, genital hpv is more commonly and more easily transmitted via sex. Plus, certain strains have a higher affinity for certain types of skin cells. Infection requires contact between skin cells and live virus. The virus must attach to cell receptors and get into a cell. Direct contact, microtrauma to skin and high viral load all favor infection. Sex is better than door knobs for transmission. ...Read more

It could be: Ringworm on the scalp often looks similar to that on the body. No way!: You don't mention what soap you are using. Try a hypoallergenic soap such as unscented dove, oil of olay sensitive skin or vanicream bar. Also lubricate your hands with vaseline (petroleum jelly), vanicream, vaniply or cerave. You may try washing with a "soap less" soap such as lubriderm. If all of this fails, see a dermatologist or allergist/immunologist. ...Read more

In small classroom with very sick girl. What can I do (to ensure I don't get sick) apart from steering clear from her and washing hands?

From canada my bf used 2 kleenez not bare hands to pick up dead baby bird and dispose. Than carried in groceries without washing hands. Contamination?

Germs are everywher: Germs are everywhere, I would not expect that the two of you were going to eat off of those grocery bags. With food preparation and refrigeration your bacterial burden is usually reduced significantly. I wouldn't be any more concerned about this, that if you went outside and played in the yard and came in and ate dinner without washing your hands. The normal human body has a great immune system. ...Read more

When washing hands and body my skin get sticky while I'm drying off can you help me?
