Hello. : Hello. I don't know if you are pregnant. If you take a pregnancy test too early it is likely not to have an accurate result. You can take a regular home pregnancy test as soon as you miss your period. Sometimes, even if pregnant, it will show a negative because the HCG levels may not have been high enough to trigger a positive. In that situation you can repeat the pregnancy test in a week or less. ...Read more

My urine is very dark and smells weird and after peeing i get a pain in my stomach around the belly button area. Could i be pregant?

PEE PAIN: Sounds more like a urinary tract or "bladder" infection, but knowing your pregnancy status would also impact the treatment decisions for those conditions. You could get a home pregnancy test and consult with a HealthTap provider for more in-depth discussion. If your symptoms persist or get worse, however, see your doctor. ...Read more

Could you explain what wall thickness is during pregnancy and what determines 'thickness?' Does it have to do with a woman's pre-peg. weight?

Could you explain what wall thickness is during pregnancy and what determines 'thickness?' Does it have to do with a woman's pre-peg. weight?

Needs more info: I am not sure what you mean by "wall thickness". If you mean uterine wall thickness as estimated by ultrasound, this measurement would not be effected by a woman's weight. However ultrasound can be technically more difficult and less accurate when the patient has an obese abdomen. It would help me to advise you if I have more information. Please schedule a consult with me if you need more.Thanks. ...Read more
