Won't hurt scoliosis: And all three are great aerobic exercises, but do not really strengthen core musculature. Which type of walking reduce body fat fast? Slow walking to 1hr or speed walking to1/2hr (eg; 3.0 speed at treadmill to 1hr or 5.4 speed to 1/2hr)
Weight loss: It is not about the type of walking but rather the calories burned. Using your example you will have walked 3 miles in one hour slow walking and 2.7 miles in a 1/2 hour fast walking. Because you went farther slow walking you would have burned more calories and therefore, lost more weight from the longer walk. ...Read more
I'm having an IUI done tomorrow morning. Would it be good or bad to walk on my treadmill for 1 hr (heartrate @ 140) the night b4 & night of procedure?
I was walking on my treadmill at 3.0mph 0% incline and it said my heart rate was 130 is this a good thing or bad?
See below: It sounds like your deconditioned. That's a fairly average speed for light running or fast walking and no incline. However, as long as you're able to do it without severe shortness of breath, chest pain, or dizziness, then it's fine. After some time of training like this, your heart rate won't jump that high. If you have any symptoms or other conditions, check with your doctor first though. ...Read more

Hi I had a question, I used to be 380 pounds and I've lost about 150 pounds through dieting and moderate exercise over a course I tried eating very small meals (only one meal a day) with an hour of walking on the treadmill to see if I could tighten or loo
First you need to be congratulated on your amazing accomplishment. My first bit of advise is that you should definitely meet with a nutritionist to come up with a workable long term plan. Eating 1 meal a day sets you up for weight regain, because your metabolic rate has likely been turned down greatly. As far as your attempts at "spot" training in the gym with goals of weight loss in one specific area of your body, this simply is a myth that doesn't work. Don't be discouraged, no human body is able to lose weight in one specific area. This is usually an "all or none" phenomenon. As you lose fat, it will disappear everywhere, but at genetically predetermined rate. This is why for some people the issue I love handles vs. Thighs vs. Belly fat.
Most important thing you should do is accept the new lifestyle you have chosen and make sure you eat at least 3 to 4 normal sized healthier meals a day. This will minimize your chance of weight regain. ...Read more
