Yes: Acne is a chronic disease that's a grave personal and professional liability. It is well worth the likelihood of side effects. If topical benzoyl peroxide isn't a bit unpleasant, consider increasing the strength / frequency until it is. This plus tetracycline may be enough for moderate acne. I have never heard: of topical isotretinoin(that is accutane) do you mean tretinoin (or retin A)? Topical retinoic acid will not hurt and can help as it stimulates new collagen and thickens the epidermis. Topcial erythromycin is just a topical antibiotic.
