Is Throwing Up A Sign Of Labor
Hi I'm 8months pregnant and last night I had bad pain deahria and was throwing up is this a sign of labor?
I've been feeling faintish and weak lately. I eat I can't do any labor for a long period of time without feeling like throwing up. What could it be?
Pregnancy, mono: You could be pregnant or suffering from mono but in any case you should see your doctor.
Have you ever heard of these symptoms during labor: vomiting, dizziness, increased heart rate, fast paced breathing?
Yea: Typically, we call it being in active labor. If you are a man, think about this: the equivalent for you would be passing a bowling ball out of your anus. Just the thought makes me nauseous. But there's other potential causes for those symptoms, dangerous ones for both mom and baby.
36wks vomiting, loose stools, all day consistent terrible lower back pain.. 5cm 50% effaced. Should I go to l&d. Could this be labor?
Go to L;D: If you are vomiting that means you are unlikely to keep down fluids, in which case, you likely might need an IV and to receive IV fluids. It sounds like a viral illness, meaning that typically self-limited and will go away in 12-24 hours, but go to l;d so you can be evaluated for dehyrdation. Sometimes nausea and vomiting is assc with labor, but go to l;d and find out. Good luck!See 1 more doctor answer

Severe low back pain, vomiting, no kidney stones. Feels like back labor, not pregnant. 29y/o female.
Almost 36w pregnant, nausea followed by vomiting, lower leg cramps, tummy tightening, and back pain... Plus constant heartburn. Labor? Flu?
Violent and continuous vomiting during labour has injured my oesophagus and I am in constant pain with it and cannot eat or drink.
Gastroenterologist: I assume a gastroenterologist has evaluated and advised you. If the injury was recent, perhaps you're dealing with tears in the lining; if not, chronic inflammatory changes and or spasms may be the problem. A soft, bland diet, taking liquid antacid like maalox or mylanta to coat the esophagus and also taking a ppi like prilosec or nexium (esomeprazole) may help. Repeat endoscopy may be needed in no improvement.
After a c section, after 17 hours labour and lots of antibiotics, I am getting vomiting attacks that are intense and lots of dry wretching with hot and cold feeling. Is it normal?
If you are still in: The hospital, your neuse shoudl be notifying your OB doc as u amy ahve an endometritis or otehr infection, and you may have GI irritation or colitis from teh antibiotics, not as comon is septic pelvic thrombophebitis that can give those sxs, so your OB doc should be treating u now.See 2 more doctor answers

Not sign: Persistent throwing up can cause dehydration, but it's not a sign/symptom of it. If taking fluids is making you throw up, proper rehydration is as follows: First, let stomach rest for about 2 hours where you don't try to take anything in. Then use a rehydration solution such as Pediatlye or low sugar Gatorade and take just a teaspoon. If you keep that down for 5 minutes, take another teaspoon.
Is this a early sign of pregnacy when the make keep throwing up randomly like he having all the symptoms and the female not?
Sympathetic symptoms: By "male" are you referring to an elderly individual, infant, child since different answers for each, due to anticipated co-morbidities ; risks. Also, is there blood, bile, food mixed with vomitus, weight loss, pain--makes a considerable difference in what assistance we can render him. Your question seems to suggest however a psychogenic cause, like sympathetic pregnancy. Go get him ; you checked.

May be just normal: First, I do not know, when did u have your last period and have u been having regular periods. No sex after last period, u cannot be pregnant. Missing a period on and off is normal. Medication can effect your period. Stress, excessive exercise, not eating, eating d/o can make u miss a period. Stress disrupts the hpa axis @ can cause it. Missing period x 3 months is amenorrhea. Consult your obgyn.

What are signs of Dilantin toxicity? I have been having bad chest pains for a few days, been dizzy, shakey, weak, just started running a fever 2 hours ago, been throwing up. I have had this before but I don't remeber much about it.
I: I do not know if you have Dilantin toxicity. Dr. Lin provided symptoms of toxicity earlier. Lets see how that list of symptoms lines up with your symptoms. Nausea and vomiting — you indicated that you have been throwing up. Tremor (form of shaking) — you indicated that you are shakey. Lethargy (feeling tired) — you said you feel weak. Nystagmus — your eyes may seem to be moving back and forth —especially if you look from one side to another. Ataxia - difficulty walking. Dysarthria — difficulty speaking. Hypotensive — low blood pressure — this might make you feel dizzy. You described having bad chest pains, and feeling dizzy. I recommend that you be medically evaluated to determine the cause. The doctor will be able to draw a Dilantin blood level at that time. I hope you feel better soon.See 1 more doctor answer
