Influenza: without a fever you don't have influenza. You probably have a cold. If you haven't had a flu shot get one. Even though the antigens in the shot don't exactly match the flu strain this year, it should offer some protection and make the flu less severe if you get it. Can MiraLax (polyethylene glycol) cause nausea & vomiting if no food/water in system? She had an enema & throws up any food b/c of flu she got a few days later. 2wks now.
Every 2 months I get severe nausea & vomiting. All tests are 'normal'. Doc says its just bad luck w/ stomach flu. Could there be another cause?
Sure: Guy or gal? If gal, could be related to hormones, menses, ovulation (perhaps just from one of the ovaries, thus every other month). Check timing of symptoms with menstrual cycle. ER: This is not the place in which to undergo evaluation for a chronic process. This needs careful assessment with history, physical exam and labs and possibly endoscopy or other procedures and should be done by a doctor with the time and training to do this.
