Fat has calories: Fatty foods are packed with calories, twice the number of carbs or proteins for the same amount of food. So high fat is not going to help you lose weight just because you are avoiding starches and sugars (carbs). Your total calorie intake needs to go down and/or your exercise up to lose weight. Start reading labels with portion size and calorie content as well as the breakdown carb/protein/fats. ...Read more

Opinions, opinions: I don't think it will matter too much - so a big part of your answer will be which you like better. Also different brands can differ. But, i've heard from nutritionist friends that the range from whole to fat free is much smaller than the public thinks. Unknown: I don't think we really know the answer to this excellent question but my impression is that, if you're using all the calories you eat, the fat content is not harmful. I base this on lipid profile results of Dr. Adkins (of the Adkins' diet) who eat a low carb, high fat diet, lose weight, and have no demonstrable harm.
