Is There Any Tea That Should Not Be Drank When On Zoloft Sertraline
Hi There, I was just wondering if there are any serious side effects of taking only a few percocets while on pristiq 50mg, and also how dangerous drinking alcohol REALLY is on this anxiety medication. (I am not taking perc's while drinking alcohol though)
Suspicious: Not enough info. How many is "a few?" Should you be drinking alcohol which is a CNS depressant while taking an anti-depressant, Pristiq (desvenlafaxine)? Why are you taking an opioid which is also a CNS depressant? How close if not together re perc's and alcohol? Not enough info! ...Read more
Just wondering if there is medication other then benzos that does the same thing allready on 200mg Zoloft (sertraline) and it doing nothing?
In terms of caffeine: Yes, but the other data i sent you make it rather disconcerting. When it comes to supplements like this, there are no standardized clinical trials. All that are collected are adverse events that are called into the fda or culled from the social media. You have the data now that you need to make your decision and the decision will have to be yours to make. ...Read more

Is it ok to drink dandelion root tea while on Prozac (fluoxetine) 40mg/day? Are there any interactions?
Not much interaction: The extract of taraxicum officinale root in rodent studies is shown to be an inhibitor of the cytochrome p450 1a2 enzyme, and this is distinct from the 2d6 enzyme that fluoxetine inhibits. This would imply that the consuming dandelion root extract would not markedly change the metabolism of fluoxetine although it may slow down the metabolism of fluoxetine very slightly because 1a2 may contribute. ...Read more

What happens when I take Zoloft (sertraline) with oxyelite pro? It says on bottle to avoid taking with meds that have seratogenic activities, but not clear on why.
Serotonin syndrome: The label for this supplement describes: 13-dimethylamylamine; bauhinia purpurea l.; bacopa ; cirsium oligophyllum extract ; rauwolscine canescens l.; caffeine 100.00 mg. I would have to look into the potential mechanism of these ingredients, but i suspect 1 or more has the potential of increasing serotonin, which with zoloft (sertraline) can lead to serotonin syndrome with diarrhea, extreme confussion, etc. ...Read more
A doctor on here said that Zoloft (sertraline) can decrease the efficacy of Tramadol. If so what drug could I use instead, but not codeine ?
Other opiates: opiates can increase the effect of Zoloft (sertraline). Rarely, the two types of drug in combination can cause the serotonin syndrome with flushing fast heart rate and requires stopping both drugs immediately. You need to discuss alternate analgesics with your pain management specialist ...Read more

Going to be starting Lexapro (escitalopram) & noticed it says do not drink alcohol but i know 5 people on it that still drink alcohol with no bad side effects.
Mixing is dangerous: Lexapro combined with alcohol can suppress the respiratory center in the brain. The person will stop breathing and this will cause death. There is no scientifice data showing at what quantities of alcohol and at what dossage of Lexapro can cause this depression of respiratory center . The dose that can kill the people varies from person to person. Xanax (alprazolam) + alcohol can kill the person much faster. ...Read more
