Is There A Way To Treat Ocd With Just Therapy And No Medications
Maybe: It's difficult to know what you consider mild. Each person has a different perspective. From my point of view, as a physician, I am interested in the most effective treatment, not any one particular treatment. About half of my practice is psychotherapy, and yet i can't think of a single bipolar patient for whom i would recommend only psychotherapy. Please seek the best treatment for yourself. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers
See below: Establish routine, schedule, to make your environment more predictable. Self-care routine -- set a times of the day for exercising, hobbies, reading, (doesn't have to be done all at once, but even 15min.), work on me time. Practice relaxation, positive visualizations -- you can find scripts on line or in the library. If you're being treated, stay compliant with treatment. Good luck! ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Combine approaches: You may need a higher dose of medicine, a different pill, or more than one antidepressant. Exercise is absolutely essential because endorphins released improve mood. Cognitive behavioral therapy (cbt) is often the best because it helps you change how you think about situations. Sometimes support groups help get enough, regular sleep and stay involved with an activity you love. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers
Understanding why: Counseling/therapy/medicine can help us understand what we expect from ourselves, from others, and from life--and aren't getting, which results in loneliness and emptiness. Better understanding and a mid-course "life review" can help change our focus and point us in more meaningful directions. Some find themselves living someone else's agenda, others find better approaches to the path they're on. ...Read more

Yes: There are many medications to deal with anxiety. However, i would advise first speaking to your primary care physician, or if pregnant, with your ob/gyn to devise an appropriate plan to deal with your anxiety. Once someone is diagnosed with perceptive deception are they stuck with it for the rest of their life? Or is there a cure or some way besides therapy.
All sentient beings: filter perceptions thru what they think, know, understand or believe. For example, when we look at an object, our eyes "see" a tiny image of that object on our retina. The brain then interprets the image as real and distinct from us. A similar process occurs when we watch a 3D movie. The screen is flat but, when wearing 3D glasses, our brains interprets the images as 3D. Fascinating! ...Read more
