If i'm tested low for igf1 reflecting low hgh, would it benefit my thinned skin/skin atrophy?

If i'm tested low for igf1 reflecting low hgh, would it benefit my thinned skin/skin atrophy?

Depends: The diagnosis of growth hormone deficiency is not that simple. You would need to see an endocrinologist. Low igf1 can occur in other settings. Growth hormone is very costly. It has pros and cons to treatment. Good luck. ...Read more

Are you deficient?: Hi. If you're GH-deficient, I would suggest you try it. Most of my hypo pit patients like it and stay with it. Benefits include muscle mass/lean body mass/strength, bone health, sense of well being, energy level, endurance, etc. If you don't feel better, you can always stop taking it. ...Read more

I want to grow taller i'm 18 and i'm looking at alternatives like hgh. I read that males don't stop growing till 21. I want to grow taller i haven't really gain any height, i an active person so I am starting to look at alternatives like hgh. How safe is

If : If your growth plates in your long bones have fused, then you are finished growing and no medications or treatments will make you taller. The average age for this in females is 15 to 16 and for males is 18 to 19. If your growth plates are still open (which is not unheard of in a 20 year old male) it is possible you may still grow a little on your own. Sometimes human growth hormone (hgh) can be used to increase height in young children prior to and around puberty, but makes little difference in height after puberty. Since you are 18, hgh would not help you. Actual hgh is tightly regulated and can only be distributed by physicians - usually endocrinologists, so be wary of any products you can buy on the internet that claim to contain it. Once you reach adulthood, your height is what it is and short of a gruesome leg-lengthening surgery with immense pain, expense, and complications, there's nothing you can do to actually gain a few inches. There are a few things you can do to make yourself appear taller: - practice good posture - find shoes with thick soles or "lifts" - dress in monochromatic colors, wear vertical stripes and keep your look stream-lined - make sure your clothes fit well - baggy clothes will make you appear smaller. ...Read more

I'm 18 can I still grow taller? I read that males don't stop growing till 21. I want to grow taller i haven't really gain any height, i an active person so I am starting to look at alternatives like hgh. How safe is it i've seen sold on craigslist and oth

I : I would strongly recommend that you not buy medicine from craigslist or online from any other source. There's no guarantee whatsoever that you're getting what you think you are or that the medication is even safe for human use. Different people stop growing at different times. Without an x-ray, it's impossible to know with certainty whether you will grow further. If your growth plates are closed, then you're done, regardless of taking a supplement like hgh. If you're still growing and are truly below a reasonable height, you might qualify for medical therapy, but if you're 5'6" and want to be 6'2", then that's not really an appropriate use of those medications. ...Read more

What happens when a person takes too much hgh?

Unknown: There have been several studies on using growth hormone in non deficient patients (those with severe cachexia, malnutrition, ICU setting, aids wasting), and there was no real bad side effect. The hormone may alter glucose metabolism, but there are mixed results about diabetes development in patients. But, why take more than you need. You won't grow taller once your growth plates are closed. ...Read more

Do docs believe that HGH concoction can make a person grow taller?
