Are shoes of asics good for flat feet coz this international brand is only available in india & skechers too are available?
It depends on how...: ....they feel when U put them on. They should B comfortable right away. Get the proper size in the store @ walk around on them. They should feel good. If 2 tight or 2 short, don't buy them. They don't break in like some leather does. If not comfy U may also need arch supports if Ur flat feet R quite bad. Don't pay good money on uncomfortable footwear. ...Read more

Is there a good benefit in using a skin care product based on vitamin c? (from a store called the body shop).
Buy Vit C carefully: Naturally occurring vitamin c is not particularly stable, so product preparation is important. For a topical vitamin c formulation to work, it must remain stable, penetrate the skin, and be available in high enough concentration to have a biologic effect. Research indicates the gold standard is stable l-ascorbic acid at high concentration (between 10% - 20%) and at low ph (<3.5). ...Read moreSee 4 more doctor answers
What are the best biofeedback systems that you can buy & use at home? I'm on a tight budget, looking for low price that is still effective.
Finger temperature: This depends a lot on your goal. The cheapest biofeedback i know of is a digital thermometer with a small sensor attached by wire. Tape it to a fingertip and try to make the meter rise. Warm fingers are associated with decreased sympathetic nervous system activity and a relaxation response. Gsr is inexpensive too. Of course, EMG or eeg biofeedback is more elaborate & expensive. ...Read more

Not necessarily : Although it's important to try and keep your feet from becoming flatter. It is possible that a higher arched shoe could cause strain or pressure on areas that won't like it. Persons who are flat-footed need more biomechanical control more than support. I advise, consulting with your local area podiatrist first. ...Read more
Are there custom made to order prescription compression socks? Foot area too short, heel zone is in middle of foot, not at the heel where it should be.
Yes: actually quite an industry on them. They vary from ones that you can buy at a medical goods store that are merely different sizes (and maybe slightly different shapes), to wrapping at a physical therapy place. The physical therapist would be able to know about other modalities, BUT this is for swelling / edema. Shoe inserts are from a PODIATRIST. ...Read more
Muscles and bones: The most important part of good posture is strong muscles and healthy bones. As we age, we lose muscle mass. But studies have shown that supervised, safe weight lifting can have great results, even in extremes of age (85+). Loss of bone density can also lead to a curved spine. Vitamin d is crucial to both muscles and bones. Get your level checked, and get a doctor's clearance for an exercise plan. ...Read more
Is there any brand of frozen entrees from the freezer section in the store that is relatively healthy for you?
There are many....: When it comes to frozen foods you want to watch for added fat and sodium. A brand that i personally reccomend would be kashi. If possible try to buy organic when it come to your final selection. Another great way to get a healthy meal fast is with a good blender (i prefer a vitamix). It is easy to throw in some frozen fruit and protein powder as you rush on out the door. Good luck to you. ...Read more

Is there anything other than the dental programs offered at the clinics that can make my total amount cheaper anything can help..?
Try: Calling the university clinic because teaching universiies have lower fees. At least, you won't be limited to merely fillings and extraction. You will have a more comprehensive exam backed up by instructors but usually, the wait is long. You will find in the long run that saving your teeth will give more returns if you cannot afford a private practitioner. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
