Is There A Elemination For Hvs Desease
No cure; Yes help: There is no cure for oral or genital herpes, but antiviral medications are helpful in preventing or clearing up herpes sores. Topical antiviral creams are somewhat helpful but not as helpful as oral medications. To treat an outbreak, one should start the medication as soon as possible to get the best effect. A primary care doctor can discuss the various treatments and prescribe medication. ...Read more

Yes ... but: For most patients the recommendations are against the use of antibiotics, as they are more likely to prolong infection and symptoms than result in a cure (except for salmonella typhi, which should always be treated). Hiv+, infants, and severely ill persons can be treated with antibiotics. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers
Yes: To determine whether someone has huntington's disease, a gene analysis can be done to detect whether or not a repeating-cag mutation is present on the huntington gene. If the cag sequence in the gene repeats too many times, the gene is abnormal. A meeting with a genetic counselor before and after the test is recommended to determine need for the test and to discuss the results of the test. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Have another test: From this information, it is impossible to know whether it was positive or negative. If you have symptoms of genital herpes, i.e. recurrent genital blisters/sores, then probably it was positive. If not, have a repeat test; or talk to your doctor about having a lab-based test instead. Good luck! ...Read more
I had an hvs test done and my result was: pus cell: 1-3/hpf
epithelial cell: +
culture- no growth after 24 hours is the pus cell count ok?
I am 27 female and I am suffering from hyperventilation syndrome since 8 mths. How safe is it for me to plan for pregnancy? Can hvs be totally cured?
Cause?: Only rarely is hvs caused by underlying lung disease in someone so young. But this should first be ruled out by pulmonary tests. Assuming healthy respiration, the cause is psychological--and self-perpetuating. If associated with panic, this should be treated, but that's rare, too. Two good interventions, then are 1) breath-focused meditation to calm the 2) identify triggers. ...Read more
I did an hvs test and the result is epithelial cell : numerous, pus cell 3 -4hpf yeast + others nill.when cultured it yielded scanty growth of candida?
Yeast? Other? STD?: Your test results are mixed. Seeing any by microscopy, with pus cells, suggests overgrowth and active infection, but "scant growh" is slightly against it. If symptoms typical of a yeast infection (vaginal irritation and itching, usually little discharge), treatment for yeast probably will help. Pus cells can suggest other infections, e.g. STD. Discuss with your doctor or clinic. Good luck! ...Read more
No risk, no worry: Probably you mean HSV1 (type 1 herpes simplex virus), not HVS. The answer is no: even if you have HSV1, e.g. oral cold sores, you will never infect another body part, including a cut on the scalp. If that ever happened, it would not cause brain infection. No worries at all. ...Read more
I did an HVS and it says pus cells is numerous, epihelia cells ++, Bacteria cells ++, and there is E coli after 24 hours of incubation?
UTI? STD? Herpes?: I don't understand "HVS". Do you mean HSV (herpes simplex virus)? The lab results suggest urine and suggest you have a urinary tract infection due to E. coli. But the tags you selected suggest you have vaginal discharge or pus, right? Maybe more than one problem here. Were you also tested for other STDs? Follow your doctor's advice about further testing, treatment, etc. Good luck! ...Read more

Herpes: First, there are two herpes viruses. You did not give us this vital information. Herpes is not curable. If you do not have any outbreaks it is also impossible to tell where you are infected, now, given your age and the igg results, i would bet that you are positive for the common hsv type one or "oral" herpes. This is found in 75% of americans. It is usually transmitted from family member. ...Read more

Yeast infection?: I've not heard of high vaginal swab (which is what I assume you mean by "hvs") as a self test. What did your doctor say about it? Best to interpret these results in connection with symptoms. Possible yeast infection, but even large amounts of yeast cells (3+) can be normal. But if you're having itching irritation, yeast infection is likely. Check with your doctor. ...Read more
