How long should I wait to have a tummy tuck afterc section and what do u tjthink about tummy tucks (witch hazel)?

It depends: I perform a significant number of tummy tucks (witch hazel) each year for my young mothers and feel that this is a great procedure when done by a qualified plastic surgeon with experience in this area. I generally recommend waiting a few months following a c-section so that soft tissue swelling has gone done and your hormones have returned to a more natural state. ...Read more

Yes: After pregnancy, particularly after twins, the skin and fascia of the abdomen have often been stretched beyond their ability to shrink back. Exercising the muscles will tighten them but won't remove the excess skin or separation that may exist between the muscles. A tummy tuck is a reliable way to get rid of the skin and tighten the fascia. See a board certified plastic surgeon for a consult. ...Read more

I Lost 100 pounds and I have Sjögren's syndrome possibly lupus. I am 5'2 and 150 pounds . Could I qualify for a tummy tuck surgery ?

Tummy Tuck: I'm certain you can qualify for the surgery, the real question you are asking is will your insurance pay for it. Generally insurance companies will not pay for "cosmetic surgeries" even though you may feel they are medically necessary. The best thing to do is consult with a Board Certified Plastic or Cosmetic Surgeon and see what he/she thinks and if there is a reason to do this medically. ...Read more
