No: Ashwagandha is a common herb in ayurvedic medicine. It has a variety of uses -- much to do with adapting to stress. Some use it for anti-anxiety properties, but it does not have research supporting any prevention of panic attacks. There are no conflicts between it and sertraline -- but there could be with benzos. I am not: Trying to discount the beneficial effects of many herbal remedies however, my opinion only, you are taking far too many of these preparations and seem to be on mostly PSYCHO-ACTIVE drugs. ..a frank discussion with your Primary Care Physician re: your present condition and perhaps a consultation with a PSYCHO-PHARMACOLOGIST is indicated! Tulsi, theanine, mag: Many supplements are very helpful for anxiety, including herbs like tulsi (holy basil), valerian, passionflower & ashwagandha, Amino Acids like theanine & tryptophan, b vitamins & magnesium. However, also consider meditation, exercise, counseling &homeopathy. Make sure you get enough rest & a healthy diet.Consider eft (see eftuniverse. Com).If these measures don't help enough seek professional help.

Let's be hopeful: It's not impossible for mild problems to be helped by this sort of approach if you have the right attitude. But if it does not help or gets worse, it may be a good idea to find a therapist to talk about your best options. It's great for a young person to learn skills to life in ways that avoid, reduce and manage anxiety. So, give it a chance, then find help if needed. Yoga or meditation may help

Sedating: This may be an okay combination depending on your specific condition. There is no significant drug-drug interaction. But both can be sedating, cause somnolence and lead to impaired cognition. My concern is that at 21 you're taking 2 mg of xanax (alprazolam) and your profile also indicates klonipin. This need more in debt analysis than can be provided here. See your doctor for further evaluation.

Not by itself: Cepaplex is a nutritional supplement containing various antioxidants and phytochemicals that might help your overall health -- but are not sufficient treatment for panic attacks. For panic attacks, you really need a thorough medical and psychiatric evaluation. If this is in fact what you have, specific ssri medications are known to help and will probably be offered. Cognitive behav therapy also.

Panic: It is good to have a medical exam first to rule out any underlying illness. You could seek psychotherapy from a clinical psychologist for a program to reduce anxiety, including breathing exercises. There are also medications to help with this. With good psychotherapy it can be possible for certain people to overcome the need for medication for anxiety and panic attacks.

Get into therapy: Therapy can help you overcome these issues. Don't live your life plagued by these issues. A mix of cognitive behavioral and some isight oriented therapy with medication, if it is needed will help.

LIKELY CAN HELP: The drug does seem to work well, but has some long-term habituation issues, which requires close work with your doctor. Other meds are available also, so, flexibility does seem to provide a wider range of options. Discuss with your physician and perhaps also, a councilor.

Go to PCP.: I suggest that you go back to your doctor and express your fears. He maybe able to suggest something else that will alleviate your fears.

I was doing good with panic attacks, decided to smoke a bit of pot after 2 yrs of not. Panic has come back, now 3 days and I can't shake it.

Panic exacerbated by: Pot is not at all uncommon. While some people find marihuana relaxing, others, and particularly those who tend to be anxious, often find that marijuana actually causes them a great deal of anxiety. I would ring your doc straight away, and let him know how you're feeling and the circumstances that seemed to provoke your exacerbation. If you're completely honest w h, he'll be able to help u best!
