Fully treat tb: TB needs to be fully treated with 3-4 anttibiotics for 6-9 months. After full treatment you should be cured of TB and will not relapse during pregnancy. If you are not fully treated, then some TB organisms may still be in your body and you can relapse in the future. Lymph nodes should also get smaller with treatment. If your friend had active tuberculosis (tb), i can assure you that the doctor whould not say that nothing needs to be done. Tb is a serious, communicable disease. On the other hand, maybe her doctor told her that she is a PPD converter which means that she has been exposed to tuberculosis in the past.
