Fish oils contain two active omega-3 fatty acids, dha and epa. Most fish oil products contain both dha and epa, but supplements enriched in dha or epa are available. Omega-3 fatty acids have been shown to significantly reduce sudden cardiac death. Some studies also indicate the potential for benefits in dementia and risk of heart attack. The omega-3 content of cold water ...Read more

Is it safe for my age 21 to take fish oil supplement? Just everyday? is there no contraindication?
I am taking herbal supplements fish oil, estrogen, multiple vitamin, hyaluronic acid, pumpkin seed oil. Are these safe to take with each other?
Not really, but why?: Who knows? They may not even be safe by themselves, as you never really know what's in them to begin with. Why are you taking them in the first place. What are you attempting to fix, and how are you going to tell if any of them help -- what criteria are you going to use. They will commonly interact adversely with other supplements and also with prescription meds. Avoid at all costs. ...Read more

Can you explain if it's safe to take C4 extreme with multivitamin, fish oil and calcium supplement?
C4: C4 is a supplement mixture with no data to support its use. Multivites, fish oil and calcium supplements have at least some reason to think they will be a positive action. I personally wouldn't recommend taking c4 but have no more data support not recommending it than there is to say it is beneficial. Eat a good diet and have a good exercise program, the supplements might or might not help. ...Read more

Is it safe to take a multivitamin, probiotic, fish oil omega-3 supplement, apple cider vinegar, and psyllium husk for fiber together daily?
Yes: These are safe though I wouldn't take them all at once. I advise the multivitamin after breakfast, the probiotic at the start of a meal, the fish oil after lunch or dinner, apple cider vinegar in water separate from meals and the psyllium at bedtime. Some multivitamins are far better than others- see https://drrandybaker.com/2012/11/ and https://www.multivitaminguide.org/best-multivitamin.html ...Read more
Gallbladder support: There are two answers. 1. The fish oil you are consuming may be rancid or processed poorly. 2. Bile is produced in the liver and stored in the gallbladder. One of bile's functions is to assist fat absorption. Bile is released when fat is detected in the upper GI tract. Insufficient gall-bladder function or bile production may lead to gas or burping as the fat is not fully absorbed. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers
Absolutely not: In fact, it is not at all certain that there is any benefit from fish oil for anything. In USA it has been abandoned as useless by the best-informed experts. It has also been noted to cause prostate cancer. It is true that it lowers triglycerides and raises HDL but it has not lowered the risk for strokes or heart attacks. No benefit has been demonstrated except to those who sell it. ...Read more
