Is surgery the best option for one to do when diagnosed with fibroadenoma?

Is surgery the best option for one to do when diagnosed with fibroadenoma?

Not necessarily.: When a tumor is found in the breast it is essential to determine whether it is benign or malignant. This is best done by means of a non-surgical needle biopsy. Knowledge is king: Treatment decision is based on pathology, stage, psa, and concurrent illness/disease. Many men, regardless of age obtain no benefit from pc treatment. Some men gain significant benefit. Suggest you see a gu medical oncologist to review all options including deferred or delayed therapy. Recent study shows no beenfit for surgery in this setting as well. http://bit.ly/lk3kkd. ...Read more

Choice & marketing: It comes down to a matter of opinion, preference, opinion as well as the marketing benefits of advertising the use of the laser. Laser users claim it causes less injury. While injury is minimal, thermal injury is still there and something must be used to control bleeding (usually cautery) the same is true with scalpel (cut) or scissors (crush) although the thermal injury is zero. ...Read more

I have preoperation instruction , but still waiting for mvp repair schedule , the doctor is asking which valve do I prefer in case it is unrepairable, what is the best type?Case

Complicated: This is something that should be discussed at length before surgery with a firm decision as to what type of valve. Furthermore i would hope that the surgery is being done where valve repair is preferred. If the valve is unable to be repaired the options for valves are mechanical vs. Bioprosthetic. They both have advantages and disadvantages namely need for Coumadin (warfarin) or potential for repeat surgery. ...Read more

Which is best major to study ? Is it dental surgery or general medicine and surgery ? I can't choose one of them , i need advice and help ..

That depends: Entirely on your personal interest, motivation and sense of 'calling' if you will forgive the term. Your choice is not something anyone can determine for you, but can only influence by virtue of being a role model. Whichever you choose be certain it is your desire as it is a profession that will define you in many ways, not all, but many. ...Read more

Under a dozen: I am sure many old children might argue that they turned out pretty good so it isnt the same for everyone. Having 5 children of my own i see how they had to learn to life together, help each other, be patient with the ones who required that and learned to serve in a family. That was pretty great too.
