Is Smoking Hookah Bad In A House With Children
What ill consequences do second-hand smoke have on children/teens growing up in a smoker's household?
Please help? Is the smoke on peoples clothes just as bad as second hand smoke and what about visiting homes of smokers?
It's not generally: As bad, except perhaps in young children, especially if they are just wearing a diaper and have a lot of exposed skin. The problems of smoke on walls, furniture and clothing has only recently been described, and there aren't as many studies yet, so we do not have final answers. But it is certainly not as bad for most people as breathing in the side-stream and leftover smoke of people smoking. ...Read more

Possibly.. : There are many reasons for asthma to develop, including an inherent pre-disposition. Is my 5 year old son at a higher risk of developing asthma at any stage in his life by living in a house with 3 indoor cats?
If you & his Mom : both have asthma, your son has about a 50-65% chance of having asthma. Other than genetic loading, no one can tell you the risk that any of the myriad of potential triggers for asthma, including specific allergens, will cause him to wheeze in the future. The only exception is that 2nd & 3rd hand smoke is not good for any child. Learning to be responsible for pet care is a useful life lesson. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

I was a heavy smoker for 3 years or so..Mixing tobacco with marijuana. Have recently quit but spit up a lot of tar. Is this a good sign or bad one?
Tar: cleaning out: It is a good sign. It is often difficult for actively smoking humans to clean up or clear out their lungs. Is the smell of unsmoked marijuana harmful to the brain? My cousin opened a bag of marijuana in my house and now it smells, is this harmful?
No - it's quite safe: I guess I'd not put my last dollar on it, but I'll bet that the smell of burning marijuana isn't either (as long as there's sufficient air to breathe). At this time, as long as no one tampered w/ it, the most dangerous aspect is the illegality still true in most localities. It was inconsiderate of your cousin to place you into that jeopardy if so. Relax. Ask that it not happen again if you agree. ...Read more
