Is it normal for 1 mo baby to wake up and crying almost every 2-3 hours ? What is the sign that a baby have lack of sleep ?
Yes, normal: That is how often 1 month olds want to eat and be cared for. They eat small amounts frequently to maintain their blood sugars and hydration because they are so small and don't have lots of reserves for doing those things. It will likely get better over the next few months, but for right now it is totally normally to wake every couple of hours. ...Read more
Isnt a TSH of 0.99 a little bit low although it is in range? And is a burning feeling in the thyroid area a common symptom in thyroid disorders?
Doubt thyroid: Reference ranges are set so that several percent of healthy folks fall outside. A tender thyroid suggests DeQuervain's but burning / paresthesias less so. Look for some other cause of your illness. I believe we've met before -- Remember Sjogren's and Hashimoto's as causes of CNS vasculitis / myelin loss. Good luck on continuing workup. ...Read more

If only one knee is jumpy, it increases the chances that it is from some problem with the nerves from the spine. If you have a weird ache near the outside of your thigh, that increases the chance it is from the spine. Please get it tested more thoroughly. ...Read more

Laws of genetics: When a woman with Down's Syndrome forms gametes (unfertilized eggs), all the chromosomes except #21 will split evenly. Since Down's Syndrome means three copies of chromosome 21 (by dehfinition), the chromosome cannot split "evenly" - half will have 1 copy (normal); the other half will have 2 copies (Down's syndrome carrier). These will pair with 1 copy (usually) of Chromosome 21 from the father. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers

Normal is 370: You are just barely in the green assuming your normal peak flow is 370. A number of assumptions. You probably have some underlying disorder like asthma or COPD causing your peak flow to be lower? Green means that you are ok, yellow range would be from 300 to 185 and below 185 is the red range. Red range, seek medical attention. Yellow range - you should have a plan with your regular physician. ...Read more
