Is riding a stationary bike with knee tendonitis in both knees good for rehab?

Is riding a stationary bike with knee tendonitis in both knees good for rehab?

Ok: It should be fine as long as you start with low or even no resistance on the bike and exercise with comfort. If your knees are screaming at you during the exercise or if you have prolonged (greater than an hour) soreness after exercise, you are doing too much. Do not increase the resistance or the duration by more than 10% every couple of weeks and you should be fine. If not talk with pt or doc. ...Read more

Can I burn calories riding stationary bike and is it a good idea with bad knee? I have TKR coming up in February. Also, should I get second opinion? Ty

Yes you can: Biking is usually a good exercise option for those with knee osteoarthritis. It is non-impact and tolerated by most. Honestly, with an upcoming knee replacement, it's unlikely your arthritis will worsen between now and then. The biking can keep your muscles toned and may help you in your rehabilitation after surgery. A second opinion is always a wise idea before undergoing a major surgery. ...Read more

Had what believed patella tendonitis. Cause of pain under knee...Now it feels better but get occasional pain on side of knee...What is this?

Many possibilities: First, it depends which "side" you mean. There are many stabilizing structures in and around the knee. How can I prevent myself from going stir-crazy? I have tendonitis in my knee. What are the best ways to treat it so I can continue to exercise?
