Other options: I understand your concerns about long-term Reglan use, and I'm wondering whether you have been tried on other medications for reflux? Meds: Both medications are dopamine blockers, so they are similar in pharmacological action. Reglan and Zofran sometimes gives me headaches, is it safe to take Tylenol (acetaminophen) to relieve this? I take Reglan routinely and Zofran as needed.

Reglan (metoclopramide) Dangers: Long term Reglan (metoclopramide) use can result in a permanent parkinson's like disorders, or tardive dyskinesia. Rx moderation: That regimen should be alright if the doses moderate. Clearly, you could develop issues with overheating with first two and irregular rhythm with last two.
