Not useful: It's OK to give some water, but it probably is not going to be helpful. A 3 week old may go several days without a BM and still has a normal BM and has no problem with it. 80 calories per ?: You say 80 calories but in how much - ? 8 ounces? If so, then every ounce you drink is adding 10 calories to your daily intake that provides NO nutrition for you.
