Return To Doctor: Scabies is caused by a mite that burrows into skin causing inflammation/itching. Close contacts can become infested however it is possible for household members to remain unaffected. A questionable diagnosis can be confirmed by microscopic exam of skin scrapings. See your doctor to discuss your concerns and for re-examination. Your doctor may also consider referral to a Dermatologist. ...Read more

I have white bumps inbetween my fingers. They are itchy. A doctor from online suggested scabies but they are not red or a rash. Clear fluid comes out?

Vesicular dyshidrosi: Vesicular dyshidrosis is one of the most common and benign skin conditions. It occurs when there is some difficulty in sweating appropriately and the fluid accumulates in tiny blisters on the fingers. These may itch and when they dry up the skin may peel. Sometimes low grade steroid creams may help, but should not be used for long periods. Other non-specific treatments are available. ...Read more

I was recently treated for scabies (last week) and now I have watery blisters appearing on my fingers. Is this a sign of scabies got treated twice over last 8-9 days, areas are clearing up but now I have clear watery blisters on the insides of my fingers

It : It certainly could be scabies, but watery blisters on the fingers is often a sign of "dyshidrotic eczema". This is form of eczema that is common on the hands and fingers. Treatment with a hydrating cleanser such as cerave hydrating cleanser, moisturize with cerave cream, and possible treatment with a steroid ointment would be helpful. It is possible that you have a reinfestation with scabies although that is difficult to determine without a skin scraping. I hope that helps. ...Read more

Is it sharp/dull, etc. How long has it been going on for? Without an exam it'll be difficult to make a dx. In some hairdressers, hair gets embedded into a scratch in the web, causing an inflammatory reaction. See an orthopod. ...Read more

What are the first symptoms of scabies? What is the very first signs and symptoms that define a rash as a scabies rash? .

Itch: Scabies tend to create burrows and small red bumps in the skin, often found in underarms, belly button and inter digit web spaces. In infants, buttocks are commonly involved. Your doctor can diagnose this by finding scabies mite on skin scraping. They typically don't affect the face or scalp, so treatment is usually topical Elimite applied to every inch of your skin from neck down. ...Read more
