Depends on how made: (acid reflux is a common cause of feeling of heartburn.) if air popped & eaten in moderation, popcorn likely won't cause problems. If buttered, cheesy, or cooked in oil, more likely to increase acid reflux. Everyone is different; if it seems to worsen heartburn or acid brash, avoid it. Avoid:fatty/greasy/oily foods, cheese, peppermint, chocolate, alcohol, tomatoes, caffeine, citrus, overeating.

The goal is to be wise about diet and exercise and weight and the types of calories you consume so that you do not have gerd at your young age that persists month after month. Check with doc first: If she truly has milk allergies, you may want to check with doc about using elemental formula such as nutramigen or alimentum etc...Soy is also an option, but I would check with her doc first. These may help with her reflux as well. If not, med such as Prevacid or Zantac (ranitidine) can be used for reflux etc. Thickening formular with rice cereal may help also. Consult doc...Good luck.

Suggest endoscopy: I am glad to hear that food is no longer getting stuck. This symptom is known as dysphagia. Given your age, I would still recommend an endoscopy (EGD) to ensure that you do not have a stricture or other long term injury to your esophagus.
