I am not scared.: Never heard of this being dangerous and don't precisely understand why someone might say this except regarding concerns of infection. If infection does occur it must be very rare. Read more

Plucked a number of nose hairs, and didn't know not to do that until afterward. Does my next ECT session need to be delayed because of hair plucking?

Unlikely but possibl: This is difficult to answer. Sometimes staph infections can cause inflammation of the hair follicles which could cause some hair loss. If the area is being chronically rubbed hairs may also be lost. Staph is often carried in the nasal passages. That said, the hair should grow back. Read more

I plucked a bunch of nose hairs and just saw online that this can lead to an abscess in the brain or meningitis, how common is this? A bit concerned.
Not common: The circulation in nose is shared with brain and due to close proximity there is concern. Rare to get infection unless there is a serious bacterial load from sinus infection or your immune system is weak already like being on steroids or having chemotherapy. Watch for serious headache and stiff neck but you most likely want will not have a problem. Read more

A few days ago I picked my nose and accidentally pulled a few nose hairs its been feeling sore today, will I get a brain infection (triangle of death)?
Triangle of death: Amazing you know about it. It is rare. If your nose wasn't infected to begin with and you only pulled hair it is unlikely. If you keep irritating the area by touching all the time, however, it could get infected. So, don't! Read more

I just dyed my hair red and it got all over my skin and it felt like it went in my ears and up my nose when I was rinsing it is this dangerous?
Irritation: A single exposure like this and if the amounts of dye in the nose were minimal, there should not be any emergent danger. The most likely effects would be to the skin which can become red, itchy, develop sores, and create a burning sensation.Headache could occur from the strong chemicals in the nose. To remove try dye free detergent and baking soda, toothpaste, nail polish remover, or petroleum jelly. Read more
