Is Pineapple Acidic Or Alkaline
Is pineapple juice safe with Barrett's. Although it is acidic it is supposed to become alkaline in the stomach. It helps me with regular Bowel movement?
You're fine: If it doesn't make you uncomfortable. I suspect you're reading too much folklore about "acid" and "alkaline" foods. There's very little science here. Pineapple actually contains a few proteases that may enhance digestion; if you find it helpful, I'm glad. Often just a few extra glasses of water daily can keep things regular as well. Best wishes. ...Read more

What's the best way for me to change from acidic to alkaline environment in my body to destroy cancer cells?
This is a fraud: There is an enormous amount of "independent thought" that preys on the desperation and confusion of people who have or fear cancer. These folks misinterpret or make up real scientific studies to mislead others. The "acid / alkaline" business isn't one of the big-money frauds, but has nothing to do with reality. Ask a competent junior college biology teacher. ...Read more

Not your body pH: The ph of the vagina is determined by the ecology of its microflora and has nothing at all to do with the ph of the rest of your body, which you can rest assured is well-maintained around very close to 7.40. Should urine be more acidic or alkaline to prevent/aid healing a urinary tract infection? I've heard very mixed answers. Does vit. C raise or lower ph
Acid: 80% of uncomplicated UTIs are due to E.coli.Urine has nitrates (from diet &produced naturally in body).Bacteria with nitrate reductase activity (eg:E.coli)convert nitrates to nitrites. At acid ph (low, eg:5-5)nitrites are converted to nitric oxides which are toxic to bacteria. So Vit. C (ascorbic acid)lowers ph. Dose is 75mg daily for female, 90mg. For male. No space to discuss other type of UTIs. ...Read more
