Is Pain In Ovaries A Sign Of Pregnancy
It is unlikely that you can perceive pain from the ovary. One day after intercourse is too soon to be pregnant. Conception, as defined by the generation of a fertilized ovum, occurs within day or so of the sex. However, it takes about two weeks for the embryo to make enough HCG to produce a positive pregnancy test. Blood test may be done a day after a missed period. Home pregnancy tests should be done 4-5 days after the missed period. Use first morning urine and follow instructions for the test carefully. If you do not wish to be pregnant, use contraception all the time, every time. You may consider implanted contraceptive, or IUD.
Practice safe sex.

Pain: Pain at midcycle is usually pain from ovulation, if it is before a pregnancy has been documented. However, pain in the ovary region after pregnancy can represent a "corpus luteum cyst", which is a cyst on the ovary that feeds the pregnancy prior to implantation of the fetus on the placenta. Pain during pregnancy can also be "round ligament pain" as the uterus enlarges. If a patient is pregnant and has severe ovarian pain however, then rarely ectopic pregnancy (tubal) should be considered, but fortunately that is very rare and is usually accompanied by spotting. If a patient had persistent pain and is pregnant then they should consult their gynecologist. ...Read more

I have cyst on both ovaries, they are small, no sign of af. I have pregnancy symptoms but test was a neg. Could I be pregnant?
Maybe not pregnant: Home pregnancy tests are very accurate and not affected by foods, herbs, common illnesses, sexually transmitted diseases, vaginal spotting, or medications. A test gives a reliable result 3 weeks after sex (3 weeks after when conception might have happened) or 1 week after missing a period. If done sooner, a negative result may be due to testing too early such as less than 2 weeks after conception. ...Read more

A little early: 7 days post ovulation is a little early to suspect that any symptoms you are having are the result of pregnancy. One way to tell is to check a home pregnancy test. If negative then this implies that the hormone levels are too low for detection. If there are no detectable hormonal changes then the symptoms are not caused by that. A better time to take a test is if you miss your next period. ...Read more
