Quality is the issue: There is no evidence the olive product is harmful. It is really a matter of quality and strength. I is much like a car, you can travel in a junker or a new mercedes. Probably but...: Olive leaf extract appears to be a broad-spectrum anti-microbial, effective against a wide variety of viruses, bacteria & fungi in the lab. I haven't found any published clinical studies on it for herpes but many patients claim it helps. While more research is needed it's safe to try. Most important thing: you must know when taking Bactrim is that it can form crystals in your kidneys if you don't hydrate enough. So taking larges amount of filtered water to protect your kidneys is paramount.
