Not unusual: It may not be "normal", but it is not unusual to have a high resting heart rate during pregnancy, as the resting metabolic rate has to increase (to pump enough blood for the fetus). Also, the blood volume increases, along with total body water, & these changes place a stress on the heart which responds by pumping faster. The normal ECG is reassuring. Rest! The : The pulse typically does go up during pregnancy, the the blood pressure usually goes down. I am glad that you had an extensive evaluation including an echocardiogram. However obtaining a second opinion is always a good idea and may put your mind at rest as well. Be sure you are staying well hydrated. Be sure that your thyroid testing was normal.
