If you loose weight: Too quickly you are in danger of yoyo dieting. You gain weight back and then loose it again over and over. This is not good for your health. Slow and steady weight loss is safest and more long lasting. See your doc or a nutritionist for a good food plan, exercise, and the weight will come off slowly. Keep your focus on your health, not the scale. Peace and good health.

Same as men: I don't know that they lose energy, but both men and women slow down in physical strength and activity for a variety of reasons. Weight gain is one consequence of continued caloric intake and decreased activity. Lack of exercise leads to deconditioning and inability to do exercise which you may be describing as loss of energy.

Exercise and diet: They have to go hand and hand, with a normal bmi you don't qualify for prescription appetite suppressants or bariatric surgery. If you want to lose more body fat drink only water, eat only lean protein, vegatables, and fruits, avoid sweets, fried foods and processed carbs (breads, pasta, rice) and watch your total caloric intake. And keep exercising of course. There's no magic bullet.

Muscle mass/Body Fat: How much weight training are you doing? As muscle weighs more than fat, you may be building muscle and although your percent body fat would be declining, your weight could potentially be increasing. Other factors that could contribute to weight gain over a 10 day period could be water weight from your menstrual cylce. Lastly, you need to check thyroid and other hormone levels.

Increase calories: Building muscle while maintaing weight begins with increasing calories and hydration. You may want to think about adding protein supplements to your daily diet when you work out. Start with muscle building exercises with light weights. Standard exercises like push-ups and sit-ups also build muscle and are good beginning exercises. NO, unlikely cause: Dermoid tumor of ovary, you are born with it, most of the time is benign, removal is the cure, weight gain is due less exercise (or no exercise) sedentary life, consuming more calories than required especially unhealthy junk food. If you want to want to loose weight just reverse the above and you will.

Muscle confusion: Don't do same routines every time. Always keep your muscles guessing. Make sure you have a nice healthy protein load within 30 minutes of your workouts. And keep eating small meals throughout the day after you work out. Don't starve yourself.

I understand why...: ...your doctor referred u to an endocrinologist. Many of your symptoms are consistent with Cushing Disease caused by overproduction of ACTH in the pituitary gland. But your low normal ACTH & normal DST suggest otherwise. Cushing's syndrome can also be caused by prolonged use of corticosteroids or a primary tumor of the adrenal gland, A good endocrinologist can figure this out! Best wishes!

Misinformed?: Vitamins do not help you gain weight, calories do. Eating more calories is how one puts on weight. There are no such vitamins to add weight to your body.

Depends: Once your appetite returns to normal, you will have to eat less (particularly carbs) and exercise more to lose the weight which was gained. The speed of loss depends on how much less you eat and how much more you exercise.

Not normal: If you were a sparrow I would tell you that eating less than 800 calories per day was fine. By eating so little, your metabolic rate will drop and you will put on weight very easily. By limiting your self to few calories you will likely feel deprived which can lead to binging. Please tell your parents what is going on so you can get help from your pediatrician.
