Lots of post nasal drip for 2 months/mild facial swelling. Could be a sinus infection. Any solutions?
A few things..: You can try a neti pot- rinsing out your sinuses can be very helpful. You may also try a short course of oral decongestants or an antihistamine with a decongestant in it (like Claritin-D). You could also benefit from a prescription nasal steroid- you may have chronic allergies causing your symptoms. Humidified air may help with the facial/sinus swelling. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Is coughing up a tinge of blood a side effect of nasonex (mometasone)? Just finished 2 rounds of antbiotics for infection. Used nasonex (mometasone) for fluid in ear.
Unlikely but possibl: Nasonex (mometasone) may cause nosebleeds in a small % of the patients especially with improper technique (aiming towards the center instead of the sides). Thus post-nasal drainage may produce blood-streaked mucus. On the other hand, it is unusual to have blood-tinged sputum from it. Sinusitis can also cause bleeding but again not a common issue. Talk to your doc if the problem persists for more than a week. ...Read more

You are right: It is not normal. With this history, your symtoms sounds like chronic nasal allergy and asthma, but you need to see a doctor to take your history and fully evaluate your condition. Wheezing for months on end can lull a person into thinking it's normal. It is not, and untreated asthma can become life-threatening. Of course, it could be something else.
